Stupid Useless Facts

This is a useless subject I know, but I enjoy stupid and useless facts from time to time because it’s something that we will never use in our lifetime. For example, when are we going to use the fact that the average woman’s thighs are 1.5 times larger in circumference than the average man’s? I can’t think of a scenario of how and when I’ll ever use this information. But, just as all things, it’s pretty interesting to know these kinds of things. I’ll share some with you.

Human body:

• The average human will shed 40 pounds of skin in a lifetime.
• The surface of the human skin is, on average, 21.5 square feet (2 m2).
• By age 60, most people will have lost half their taste buds.
• In your lifetime, you will spend 3 to 4 years on the toilet!
• The average person’s hair will grow approximately 590 inches in a lifetime.

Other Facts:

• Dirty snow melts faster than clean snow
• A cubic mile of seawater contains over 150 million tons of minerals
• Scooby Doo’s first name is Scoobert.
• There are 31,557,600 seconds in a year.
• It is illegal to lick toads in Arizona.
• More than 40 per cent of women in the U.S. have been a Girl Scout.
• Albert Einstein never learned how to drive a car.

These are few of the many of useless facts in the world. Maybe one day you will use this information. Maybe if aliens took over the world and they asked you “how many seconds are in your earth year and we will leave if answered correctly.” OK. There’s no way that will ever happen, but I was just being creative. Anyway, use this knowledge if you can. Useless facts are dumb but fun to know. I personally think they’re great conversation starters.
